The festival is marked with caroling, feasting, and gift giving which makes the festival all the more divine. The festival celebration as well varies in its days to mark the festivity. Either it prolongs for a month or for a week, though, the importance of the auspicious event never lacks in any which way. In case of a month long festival, it generally starts with the Advent on Sunday next to November 26 & ends on January 6 with the feast of Epiphany.
